We are looking for a Business Analyst – Corporate Applications for one of our clients. This is a 4-month contract with a strong possibility of renewal. The position is located downtown Montreal with a hybrid work mode (3 days per week in the office).

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Applications, the Business Analyst – Corporate Applications is responsible for contributing to projects related to financial systems (ERP – Microsoft Dynamics BC), CRM (Salesforce), and HR (Ceridian) across the organization. This role ensures the evolution, optimization, and quality control of both existing and newly implemented corporate systems to meet business needs.

Responsibilities :

System Evolution

  • Analyze business needs for new application functionalities related to Finance, Marketing, and HR.
  • Map current and future business processes (process mapping) for projects and new features.
  • Translate business requirements into technical objectives for development teams.
  • Collaborate with technology vendors, project managers, and technical analysts to implement and configure applications and system integrations.
  • Perform quality control on new solutions and technical fixes.
  • Create test scripts, execute tests, and document results to ensure system functionality.
  • Support change management by assisting users during the deployment of new solutions and features.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the corporate applications roadmap.

Support & Maintenance

  • Transfer operational ownership of new solutions and features to the IT support team and provide related technical training.
  • Provide expertise in resolving functional and technical incidents and communicate resolutions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyze and report new incidents and technical change requests to appropriate vendors and track progress.
  • Ensure excellent service delivery to internal business partners.
  • Manage purchase and leasing of payment processing equipment.
  • Oversee the inventory management of various retail system equipment in collaboration with the IT support team.

Documentation

  • Create Business Requirements Documents (BRD) for requests and corporate systems throughout their lifecycle.
  • Develop training documents for end-users.
  • Document problem resolutions in the knowledge base.
  • Record test scripts, process flows, and test results for application testing.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Contribute to reviewing and implementing IT best practices and processes.
  • Support the IT team with day-to-day operations and help optimize IT operational processes.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or a Business/Management/Finance degree with strong business analysis experience in IT).
  • 5 to 7 years of experience working with corporate systems (Finance, HR, Sales, etc.) and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of business modeling, analysis, and quality control tools.
  • Familiarity with corporate system technologies (ERP Business Central, Salesforce, Ceridian is an asset).
  • Excellent listening and communication skills with internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Responsible, committed, and detail-oriented.
  • Team-oriented and structured approach to work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
